Ace Handyman Services Gainesville

We had a 22-year old porch in serious need of major repair. It was difficult to find someone to take on this relatively small job. Ace Handyman accepted the project and sent Rudy to scope and estimate it. Ace got us on the calendar quickly. Rudy did a fantastic job on keeping what could be kept and replacing what needed to go. He also replaced the door and did some floor repair. His craftsmanship and professionalism were top notch. He showed up on time each day, blasted through the project, and even sanded the handrails and swept off the porch when finished. Ace kept us informed each day of arrival time and asked how they at the end of each day throughout the project. The porch and door look great! I would definitely use Ace Handyman again. Rudy G, from Ace Handyman Services, accomplished the two tasks we asked of him. He came at exactly the time we had agreed and finished at the time he had estimated. Installation of grab bars in the shower depended on me to buy the bars in advance but the ones I selected, from Home Depot, came without the required anchors, and Rudy went to a hardware store to buy some, but Ace's upcharge for this extra travel came to more than I than I expected. In the end, the grab bars, and the light he installed work as intended.

I was having my entire pantry redone and that company told me I had to have the bifold pantry door replaced with a regular door before they could start. Rudy from Ace replaced and painted the new door and I was satisfied overall with the work; however, I mentioned that the door’s surface was a little rough and he got white paint on my gray wall above door trim. He said he’d have to come back to finish the trim pieces on the inside of the door after the new shelving was installed. Rudy said he’d fix the paint issues when he came back to finish the door. I called after the pantry was finished to have Rudy come back out to finish the original job and I was told it’d cost another $384! I understand he has to make another trip and I’d pay for that but that price is ridiculous to finish a job you have been already been paid for! I won’t be using them for anything else and can’t recommend.
