Coastal Property Restoration came to my rescue after a flood took out my kitchen and quickly spread, devastating my dining room , living room and master bedroom. I knew right away I had made the right decision to go with them. They came in quickly and professionally took charge. Through exhaustive coordination with the insurance company and multiple subcontractors, Coastal’s fortitude assured constant forward momentum moving from one process to the next. Against all expectations, literally, Coastal got me back into my home for Thanksgiving - simply amazing! They did everything right and always followed through. I would definitely recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Coastal you rock!!!

Words cannot express how grateful I am that I was recommended the services of the team at Coastal Property Restoration. When you are having to deal with a leak or damage at your home, having the reliable and knowledgeable assistance of professionals like that of Coastal Property Restoration is truly invaluable. Do not hire this company. They came recommended to me for clean up after hurricane helene. We ran into several problems using their services: - They lost the $5k deposit check we provided on site and could not process an ACH payment so we had to pay a credit card processing fee - They charged us $30k to run dehumidifiers/fans and rip out 3 rooms of flooring - They did not communicate when they would be at the house and were delayed weeks while we were trying to prevent mold growth - once they connected dehumidifiers they left the hoses to drain into the house and on our floors. So they took the moisture out of the air and leaked it on the floors - When we originally hired them, they told us they would work with the insurance company so that all cost came out of our claim. This was not true and they either knew that or aren't experienced enough to know that for NFIP flood claims the insurance company will not work with them directly - they put a lien on our house while we waited for almost a year to receive our insurance payment (I understand why but this was not part of the original discussion) - What they charged was above and beyond the NFIP standards for hurricane clean up so it was not all covered. At the end of the day this company is not professional, does not have their customer's interest in mind, and either lies or doesn't know what they are doing. I feel that they take advantage of people who are in need during a time of crisis. Additional follow up/response: - My review was written with an open balance (paid in full on August 18th, 2025), 9 months after billing because it took us that long to receive payment from our insurance carrier which you assured us that you would work with directly for payment and that we would not be in a position to have a lien put on our house for balances that were going to be paid not out of my bank account but directly to you from the insurance carrier. I now understand that this is not how this works when it is an NFIP flood claim, however, we were led to believe by your company that it would be paid directly from the insurance company and not from us. My fault for not understanding, but again we put trust in an "expert" in a time of need and were misled. - The second hurricane did not damage our home and no additional clean up was needed. Yes it had to be set twice but it was not mitigating the impacts of 2 storms only 1. - we would not have needed the ACH or credit card payment if the deposit check was not lost by your company. - If you can work with us to meet FEMA requirements, why are you not doing that in the first place instead of overcharging. This is not putting your customer first with transparency, it is hoping your customer does not have the technical knowledge to know the requirements. Which means more revenue for you but not a company I would recommend working with. - The invoice you submitted was not paid at all by our carrier, it was paid directly by me. They wrote for FEMA requirements which was less than what you charged us. - We were absolutely notified that a lien would be put on our house but only after your company and I discovered that our insurance carrier would not being paying you directly. I understand the law permits you this ability but it was not the discussion in the first place when we hired you. That discussion was that you would work with the insurance company and we wouldn't have to worry about it. Again not true and I understand that now but I would expect a company that brands itself as experts to properly explain how this process actually works. - Communication with your office staff was great once we owed you money and you were trying to collect. The experience we had with your company while you were performing the work (losing our deposit check, emptying hoses from the dehumidifiers onto the floors, not communicating when you would be at the house, etc.) was careless. The bottom line is that we hired you as experts and felt taken advantage of during a time of crisis.
