Coastal Roofing handled our project with honesty, professionalism, and an exceptional level of communication. Shawn from Coastal was remarkably responsive and detail-oriented, keeping us informed at every step and handling unexpected issues with patience and confidence. Our roof — a Westlake/Unified Steel metal barrel-tile system with Sol-R Skin Blue underlayment — was something few in the Tallahassee area had ever encountered. Even the City building inspector initially refused to approve the Sol-R Skin Blue underlayment because he couldn’t locate a Florida product code. Shawn personally worked with the inspector, providing documentation, educating him on the product, and ultimately securing the required approval. Coastal Roofing installed the underlayment under the direct supervision of a corporate representative from Westlake/Unified Steel, who remained on-site for the entire multi-day project — from the first layer to the final tile. Once the underlayment was complete, Coastal coordinated with a specialized installation team who handled the placement of the steel barrel tiles with exceptional precision and craftsmanship. The result was outstanding. The Westlake representative, who stayed through completion, repeatedly commented on the quality of the work from start to finish. Coastal’s organization, code compliance, and customer communication paired perfectly with the technical mastery of the installation crew. In the end, Coastal Roofing managed the project flawlessly, navigating permitting challenges, overseeing manufacturer supervision, and ensuring the highest level of quality control. The finished roof is both stunning and technically advanced — a testament to Coastal’s leadership and commitment to doing things the right way.

They were efficient and quick. The people we spoke to were courteous and knowledgeable. The person who created the quote was honest and upfront and I felt like he explained things in a way I could understand. My partner and I are super happy with the quality of the work done. In fact, they were so swift and efficient, we didn't even notice the work had been done for a few days. I will make a note that we were not given a date and time to expect any workmen over to do the repair. I don't know if that communication got lost in my cluttered email inbox or missed phone call. I'm also not certain if that is normal for repair work. We're new to this sort of thing. Regardless, the criticism is mild and not worth removing rating as we are over all very happy.

My roof was REALLY bad, and boy did it give this company a run for their money! It did not all go as planned but everyone was fast and efficient to fix any problems that came up. Lane was amazing and was here for me every step of the way. Kyle and Shawn were also super helpful and supportive. The office staff, Sarah, Kasey and Brooks have all been nice, amazing and knowledgeable. The roofers worked until 7:00 and were able to get the job done in a day. I am so thankful for that!
