Code Red Roofers were great with us. We got quotes from different companies and Victor’s humility sold us. Then he got us in contact with George who is the site manager. George and Victor were very attentive and communicated with us daily. We decided to get a metal roof and it is beautiful. They were very quick and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and all of the employees were very polite. We are truly happy with our decision to go with Code Res Roofers as you can see on the images, the roof came out beautifully.

We needed a new roof, picked some top roofing companies for estimates. Code Red Roofers prices was very competitive, but it was also in the contract details that other companies had some gotcha's which Code Red didn't. The sales person was the only one that actually went up on the roof to evaluate the condition. They replaced some areas where plywood was less than satisfactory. Our town is very hard to get through permitting and historic group but Code Red handled it like a pro. Finally on the days of work they had an on site project manager who was very active (on the roof) during removal and installation. Excellent communication, excellent execution, very happy with the company, highly recommend.

One of the most amazing experiences getting a roofed changed out. I got a metal roof with the exposed fasteners and it looks amazing. Jorge was on top of everything, between communication through the group chat to scheduling and timing. This could not have gone any smoother. Victor made the transaction effortless and had everything set and ready on time. Highly recommend Code Red Roofers and highly highly recommend Jorge and Victor as they are absolute amazing people.

I would recommend Code Red Roofer's to anyone looking for a new roof. Out of multiple roofers they out bid all quotes, provided excellent and quality and service, they were communicative, and offered a flawless process. Jorge Valdez, our project manager, was professional and excellent in being onsite and communicative throughout the entire process. He was able to explain technicals as well as design aspects. Staton Grant in sales knew his stuff and could answer any questions including materials, timelines and explained the entire process clearly from the beginning. Anthony and the crew working were onsite on-time and installed gutters seamlessly and finished quickly with excellent quality. The entire experience was a breath of fresh air as there can be anxiety with typical florida contractors when dealing with such a large jobs. They only collected final payments for the jobs that had been completed at that point in time (did not charge gutters until after the fact). There were no surprises and they were very upfront with costs and timelines. We are very satisfied with the result, experience and quality of Code Red Roofers.

I chose CRR because I liked their answers to a number of questions that I had. Price was not really a deciding factor. I tried to make it clear to the Salesman and Projector Manager that I wanted the work done in accordance with the manufacturer instructions and other best practices. When the new shingle bundles were delivered, they were bent over the ridge, despite the manufacturer’s instructions to not do so. The PM’s response was that they always do it like that and he hasn’t had an issue in his 6 years of experience. The starter shingles initially delivered were generic branded rather than the same brand as the primary shingles, which is required for the full shingle wind warranty. This was corrected after contacting the PM. Prior to the job, I discussed attic ventilation with the salesman and the PM, and we all agreed on the best solution. Not only did the shingle crew install the gooseneck attic vents incorrectly, but they also failed to remove the dampers from the vents, leaving my attic with essentially no ventilation. The PM agreed that the vents were not installed correctly and they would add the correct ventilation. A number of the new shingles are damaged in different areas of the roof, seemingly due to careless walking by the workers in the heat of the day. I have a feeling that making repairs after the roof has been installed is not ideal, but the QC guy insisted on replacing a couple bundles of shingles in one area of damaged shingles. These repairs were done worse than the original installation, and shingles in the surrounding area suffered damage in the process. While on the roof with QC, we coincidently noticed 4 exposed nails thanks to the sun's angle. The fix was to apply caulk and sprinkle on some gravel. I suspect these aren’t the only exposed nails on the roof, and that all of these will leak in time. I asked about several shingles that did not lay flat on the deck. I was repeatedly assured that heat will allow them to lay flat over time, but as it turns out, it was protruding nails that were holding the shingles up. Debris was left everywhere, but most aggravating were the nails scattered on the roof that were then walked on and pressed into my brand-new shingles, and the handful of nails left in my driveway that I did not see until I had already driven across them. I was assured that my existing gutters could be preserved (I understand that roofing is rough work), but little care was taken to prevent the gutters from being damaged (ladder gutter guards were mostly not used, even though there was one on-site). Unfortunately, the worst of the gutter damage was across the front of my house. CRR has their own gutter division, and they agreed to replace the most badly bent section of gutter, and I paid them out of pocket to replace 2 other sections. These are just some of the issues I had. Overall, the work was fairly sloppy. Everybody I interacted with at CRR from beginning to end was very polite. These issues I encountered are probably very common in the industry, and many companies would do a worse job, but I think there are some that do much better. I’m not aware that the PM or anybody in management ever came out to look at the work while it was happening. It doesn’t seem like they have much in the way of oversight. Eventually the QC guy was sent out to look at some of my concerns, and he admitted that things should have been done better, but by that time it was too late. Not much could be done short of starting over completely. And eventually the PM did come out over 2 months later to look at the damaged gutters and authorize replacement, but I don’t think he looked at much else. I tried to keep an eye on the work, and was able to get some things corrected, but these are just problems that I could see. What did I miss that isn’t visible? How many other customers have the knowledge or ability to look for these issues or ask these questions? I bought a new roof to give myself peace-of-mind during high wind events over the life of the roof, but I don’t feel like that's what I got.
