I am so grateful to have found Rising Star Roofing at the Ft. Myers Home Show. Michael was very friendly, and prompt in returning a written quote. Scott kept us updated on our repair. Abraham, Tyree, and Tommy performed the work professionally, and completed the job on our pan roof and vent replacement exactly as promised, on time, and perfectly done. They are a great crew, so friendly, and excellent at their job. I highly recommend Rising Star Roofing. Doesn't get any better than this. I will definitely be back for any future roofing needs. Thank you.

Highly recommend Rising Star Roofing! From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free—thanks in large part to Clint Garner, our salesman. Clint went above and beyond to handle everything, including working directly with our insurance adjuster, which made the process so much easier for us. He kept us informed every step of the way, was always quick to respond to questions, and made sure the job was done right. The crew was efficient, respectful, and did excellent work. Clint even followed up after the project was completed to make sure we were satisfied. If you're looking for a reliable, honest roofing company that truly takes care of its customers, Rising Star Roofing is the one to call—and ask for Clint Garner!

Rising Star roofing review Matthew Kinney, the salesman, seemed new and learning the business. He was good at finding out answers to your questions and did so enthusiastically. He had said he would be on the job, helping with putting tarps around the house for roof debris and putting plywood up to protect the A/C unit. I didn’t see or hear from him again after the contract was signed. Rising Star Roofing allows you to charge the cost of the job on a credit card which I liked for the cashback rewards. Their charging process was unusual because you had to call the parent company (Northpoint Roofing System) to make the initial deposit and four subsequent charges until it was paid off. While the bill was payable in full upon completion, Rising Star Roofing was patient and flexible about giving me a 10-day grace period before they would have to charge a five percent late fee. Very gracious and understanding in this day and age of business practices. The permit process was very fast (less than a week?) and the metal roofing panels were here within a week after that. I was surprised that the tarp put down to catch the old roof being torn off wasn’t done in a way to be more effective. I also had to ask for someone to put some protection over the A/C unit when I heard metallic object’s pinging off the unit during the tear-off. Rising Star pays Metal Maniacs to form the standing seam metal panels onsite. Half way through the install it was determined that there was something wrong with the panels and would have to be removed so that new panels and peel-n-stick membrane re-applied (no extra cost was passed along to me). I contracted for ridge vents but gooseneck vents were installed without discussion. I had made it known that I didn’t want any roof penetrations other than the vent stacks to cut down on leaks to my expensive new roof. Apparently gooseneck vents are not installed in the ridge to cut down on the possibilities of leakage. They make a hole in the roof about a foot down from the ridge and install them there (see picture). They use an acrylic caulk (approx. 10 year lifespan) instead of a silicon caulk that is rate to last twice as long (approx. 20 years). Now I have a 35 to 50 year roof that may need repair work in 10 to 20 years. I am assured that will not be the case since the caulk between the metal roof and the gooseneck vent is not exposed to UV light and therefore it won’t degrade/leak. There is supposed to be a written change order when changes to the contract are going to be made but that did not happen. I have been comparing my new metal roof with others and one of the odd things I noticed is an opening at the top and bottom of the valleys that could let rain or wildlife in. I am assured that it can’t and they were kind enough to caulk them to satisfy my complaint (see picture). Another oddity and really poor quality looking thing is the flashing they put at where the TPO/flat roof meet. I am told it is normally done this and it was done on both side of the roof that way. I don’t see it on the other side but I can’t get up on the roof to see for sure but the limited view I have says it isn’t there. I’ve also never seen flashing done like this in my experience or on another house. I was disappointed that I had this bright white roof and some less than pretty vent stacks (see photo). I thought they were supposed to be painted along with the vent stack boots but I can't find it in the contact and I'm tired of reading so many times to check what was agreed upon Last point was the lack of attention to detail on the cleanup afterwards. Lots of “cellophane tabs” that were not from the tearoff. Lots of little metal pins that look like pop-rivet shanks. If that is what they are then I understand the magnet missing them because they are probably aluminum but they are very shiny in our Florida sunshine and hard to miss. Lots of pro’s and con’s with the company and some odd details that you should verify yourself.
