I spoke with AnnMarie and Ken. Both were quick to respond and very friendly. That same day, Ken was at my house testing for mold. He explained everything he was seeing. By the end of the appointment, he was honest and told me I would not need their remediation services. Their customer service is top notch but even better is their integrity!

Joe, Chad, Brandon and John all worked in my kitchen getting everything figured out and taken care of for the last 2 weeks. They were responsive if I had any questions and worked thoroughly each time they were here. We appreciate all their help and hard work! -Brittany

I highly recommend First Response Disaster Team for anyone in need of mold remediation or disaster recovery services. We recently experienced a severe mold bloom in our condominium and contacted First Response for assistance. From the outset, their team was professional, responsive, and thorough. They conducted a comprehensive inspection and provided a clear, detailed estimate for the full scope of remediation. Due to ongoing cancer treatments for my husband, we had to leave our home during the remediation process. Placing our trust in First Response Disaster Team was an easy decision, and they delivered on every promise. Wade, in particular, maintained consistent communication throughout the project, addressing all of my questions and concerns promptly and professionally. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work, their attention to detail, and their excellent customer service. Please read this before using this company. Our house flooded during Milton, Ken came out to access the house for mitigation and restoration. I had already cut most of dry wall out and the mitigation process started quickly, we had no issues with that. HOWEVER, that was the ONLY easy part of working with this company. Milton happened in October; we weren’t able to be back in the house until February due to lack of communication and POOR work that needed to be redone multiple times. “Nathan” was put incharge of the restoration portion of the process, although it seemed as if he had hired out other workers because he never seemed to know what the status of the progress was and I saw different workers at the house every time I stopped by to check in. There was lack of guidance throughout the whole process, as this was my first having to go through this. As well as my first ever home. The dry wall had cracks in it, it had to be fixed twice AND STILL had cracks in it when we moved back in. I had no choice to deny them attempting to fix their mistakes a 3rd time because I knew it would’ve taken multiple weeks and couldn’t afford to be out of the house any longer. Painting job on the walls was terrible, mind you, it costed 10k. Painting had to be redone. I felt like there were incompetent workers restoring my home. I was super clear from the get go of exactly what we wanted/needed to be done in the house, from paint color to door knobs. Somehow nobody ever knew what was going on, even though I told multiple people, multiple times. Again, VERY poor communication within the company. When it came to the cleaning portion, the house somehow looked worse. They used the same dirty rag on every surface, from window sills, back of the toilets, fans, to appliances. I know this for a fact because they posted pictures of them “cleaning” and I could see them on the final invoice. I spent 5 hours properly cleaning up their mess. Grout was also ruined in a lot of spots due to dry wall plaster. The cherry on top was the final bill. DOUBLE the original estimate. Seemed to be an error on the estimators end, and Ken gave little to no care, insisting the employee would be fired (which is unprofessional to even tell someone) AS IF that would make us feel better about having to pay $15,000 MORE than the original quote. Again, I was clear from the beginning of exactly we needed to be done, so there was no reason for the final bill to double. Ken said we could go to court because apparently he has “been to court before” which I guess he thought that was a flex. LOL. I would not recommend this company to anybody! This was THE most stressful process and I hope people who use this company are well aware. I have pictures and a lot more issues that occurred during this process.
