We had a positive experience with Southern Home Consultants. It was easy to schedule the home inspection we needed which included two buildings. We called late afternoon on Oct 14 and the inspection was scheduled for early Oct 23. Southern Home Consultants sent email and text message reminders on Oct 22. Will arrived early to the property on the day of the inspection. He spent 2.5+ hours on the two buildings and discussed the issues he could see as he went along and then as a summary when he was done. He sent us the 90-page report the following morning, and it was easy to read and well-documented w/ photos. I would recommend Southern Home Consultants to others needing a thorough home inspection.

We had our home inspection done by Davey and were very impressed with how thorough and knowledgeable he was. The experience with him is what led us to also get our radon inspection and mitigation system installed by Southern thinking the rest of the staff would provide the same customer service. We were extremely disappointed with this process. There is a major lack of communication within the company and others they use for extensive work. Without going into detail I will just say, Southern's strong suit is definitely their ability to do home inspections. I would strongly reconsider before scheduling any other kind of work with them. The office manager Leah was dismissive and rude any time we would call for an update and takes no responsibility for her lack of communication with us and clearly the team she works with. The saving grace in the end was Will because after he heard of how upset we were he did contact us personally and even came to our home to ensure the issues were resolved. We definitely appreciate him and Davey.

Will O. inspected a house that we were purchasing. He missed a lot of critical items, such as inoperable windows, kitchen outlets not working, and signs of water damage around the fridge.
